Andrew Torres has fueled Montebello's fire

If you haven’t seen Montebello yet, you still have time. The Oilers are for real. If it’s not Antonio Worthy doing damage in the paint, it’s Andrew Torres on the wing. Michael Carabes and Daniel Flores can light it up as well. They are poised for a nice playoff run.

South Hills is perfect in the San Antonio and although they slipped, the Pasadena Bulldogs will win the Pacific. Bonita has its claws in the Miramonte while La Canada has established itself as the best in the Rio. San Dimas has met all of the Valle Vista challenges. Wow Workman has been a pleasant surprise. This week marks the last of the regular season games. We will post all the playoff pairings next week.

  1. Montebello (25-1) – Oilers have too many weapons.
  2. South Hills (19-3) – Huskies are untouched in San Antonio.
  3. Bonita (21-4) – Bearcats bearing down on Miramonte title.
  4. Pasadena (18-6) – Bulldogs slipped against Burbank; still tops in Pacific.
  5. Burbank (19-6) – Big win over PHS; second place is in the bank.
  6. Keppel (19-5) – No shame in losing to Montebello. We like Timmy Wong.
  7. Charter Oak (17-7) – Chargers good but not good enough in tough Miramonte.
  8. San Dimas (16-8) – Evened the score with Northview; Saints’ streak hits seven.
  9. Baldwin Park (21-3) – Braves need a win over Northview to secure second.
  10. Nogales (15-9) – Nobles can’t beat South Hills.
  11. Northview (16-9) – Tuesday matchup with BP is huge.
  12. La Canada (17-5) – Blair still lurking on Spartans’ schedule.
  13. La Salle (17-7) – Ride in Camino has been smooth.
  14. Crescenta Valley (17-7) – Stumbled against Muir; Falcons looking at third place.
  15. Whittier (13-10) – Cards have two game lead in Del Rio.
  16. Workman (12-9) – No Guerrero, no problem. Lobos are rolling.
  17. La Serna (14-11) – Lancers move to second in Del Rio with fifth straight win.
  18. Arcadia (14-11) – Apaches should be good for playoff spot.
  19. Temple City (10-8) – Rams in three way tie for second in Rio Hondo.
  20. Rosemead (6-9) – Panthers MVL perch suddenly looking shaky.
