Oilers Downed by Upland
(Montebello)- Andrew Torres led all scorers with 30 points and Michael Carabes tossed in 20 but it wasn’t enough as Montebello fell to Upland 70-65 Friday night in the second round of the CIF Division 1AA playoffs.
High School Boys Basketball Top 20
If you haven’t seen Montebello yet, you still have time. The Oilers are for real. If it’s not Antonio Worthy doing damage in the paint, it’s Andrew Torres on the wing. Michael Carabes and Daniel Flores can light it up as well. They are poised for a nice playoff run.
Oiler Arsenal too much for Keppel
(Montebello) – There are just too many weapons. Keppel was good. Montebello was better. Keppel made a push but Montebello pushed harder. Keppel rallied but Montebello responded. And in the end Montebello was too much for the Aztecs in a 76-61 win Friday night.
Oilers Too Slick for Aztecs
By Corey Kwok (Keppel HS) – Daniel Flores’ 14 footer with 8 seconds left in overtime lifted CIF Division 1AA’s ninth ranked Montebello to a 60-59 win over Keppel Tuesday night. Montebello improved to 20-1 overall and 3-0 in Almont League play while Keppel dropped to 15-4 and 2-1.
