    All that is the coaches fault. I’m not on staff and I know by the time summer school is over who is eligible and who ain’t.

    @BHSparent that’s what happens when your coach ain’t on staff full time? Spathais had study hall for kids could do there homework. 2nd week of school and there not making grades? Maybe Coach Long ain’t giving it 100 percent since his son is out for year with ACL injury? Well best of luck BHS

    They haven’t checked the grades yet and will not or half of the kids wil be ineligible. The highest graduation rate in the valley yet half the players in all sports are ineligible, go figure.

    La Serna went toe to toe with La Habra. Final score would’ve been 14-10 if anyone was keeping score.

    Scored on playoff teams from the same division as them. Got better as the time went on till Whittier Christian got them with a pair of TD passes in the last 5 minutes of the scrimmage.

    They’ll be scoring points and winning games this season. Should be a good year

    I would comment regardless of your opinion. Now that I got that out of the way… no words are needed anyone who was at the scrimmage knows the lions are back in a big way. In two series of offense the lions scored 6 Touchdowns! For those who can’t count that’s 6 out of 20 plays were scores! You’ll all be shocked how physical these boys are. I haven’t seen anything like it since well…ever at EMHS! “Ground and Pound” Run’em into submission” the entire offensive line will be the leagues MVPs!

    @The ranch thank you for the response. I tried to get out there to see it but couldn’t make it. Good to hear both programs were competitive. Both programs are well coached

    @ohsosorry,

    It was a good competition against two classy teams. It was very controlled by both coaches though so hard to tell how it would be in a game. It got a little chilly but I think only because The QBs weren’t allowed to be hit and a couple times the Arroyo QB was trying to extend plays with his legs and got shoved by a ER player and guys got mad. Can’t really blame either side for that.
    Arroyo had some size and had a few playmakers. The QB is the best athlete but it wasn’t shown because of the format of not hitting them. ER’s Nathan Huerta had one of the hardest, ,cleanest hits I have ever seen.

    I would say it was fairly even Arroyo shined a bit on the pass, ER had some nice runs. At the freshmen level El Rancho smashed em.

    ER looked horrible through summer 7 on 7. Last nite at Arroyo it was a different team in pads. Crisp clean tackling appeared to stun Arroyo and defensive hits knocked them backwards. Offense took a while but by mid scrimmage were running and yes passing efficiently. Of course I’am relating this through biased Don eyes but Don faithful should not be concerned. The team is extremely disciplined and well coached and yes though not huge they hit like a ton of bricks.

    Have you been to practice?? How about you help out the MVS staff and the others that are interested in SG football. How many people do MVS have on staff? And I see you asking them to update every couple weeks on SG! Not knocking anyone, but SG was terrible last year, going to be terrible again the next couple years. Relax dude! There are a lot of schools to cover for the limited staff here at MVS. And plenty better than a 3-7 team with a – 40 rating!

    Some might be angry that Cathedral is not on this top ten, but not me. I now know that the media operates on the principle of wheelhouses, and in the eyes of Tolegian and Robledo, the Phantoms have a low wheelhouse rating.
