@ Yeah RIGHT: Thanks for the update.
My understanding is that school administrators aren’t allowed to coach. If that’s true, Bill Zernickow would have to become a teacher again in order to accept a coaching position.
Please educate me on that point if I’m mistaken.

Not a bad idea to bring bill z. His offense fits with the talent Alhambra his. And he would be an upgrade from coach Eric. His back in Southern California

Bill has been back for 2 years now. He’s a administrator at a junior high in Glendora. Don’t get your hopes up Alhambra…it isn’t happening.

Alhambra actually led, 21-20, at halftime, and then Bell Gardens went out in front, 27-21, late in the third quarter. The Lancers seized control in the fourth quarter to win going away.

Could it be that Bill Zernickow, architect of the “Wing-Z” offense, is looking to return to Southern California? Isn’t he happy with his coaching job in Oregon? Maybe “Alhambra” is Zernickow’s agent working under a pseudonym. The drama continues…

We need to hire Bill Zernickow to replace Eric
From T. Peterson: That would be a great hire if they could pull that off.

@ron Eric is a on campus professor so there’s no excuse for him not getting kids to come out and play. He should be able to go out and get kids to come out play.

@ Anonymous: We’ve been talking about the role of coaching in the Alhambra football program for some time now. I don’t think that coaching is the main problem.
I believe that some people have overlooked the fact that AHS isn’t getting an adequate number of athletes to come out for football in the first place. And, we don’t have the number of superior athletes, or the quality depth, that the Montebello schools do.
I’m not complaining about demographics. One of our best players, Salman Gurung, is Asian. We have enough raw talent on campus; we just need more guys to come out for football.
As for our summer program, we put a lot of work into physical conditioning, and we did well in the passing tournaments. Many of our first-stringers are playing both ways, and I mean A LOT. It has become a matter of attrition, and that’s where our lack of depth comes into play.
I hope you find the information useful; I’m doing my best to give you the entire picture.

Good game the first half but like all season long Alhambra ran out of gas in the second half. Have to wonder about the off-season program Eric is running. Because conditioning has been an issue with the team fading away in the second half.
