  1. The Dodgers salvaged one win in the three-game series with the Astros and are in a first place tie with the Diamondbacks.
  2. The Las Vegas odds makers have pegged the Lakers to win 48+ games and make the playoffs.
  3. Johnny Manzeil completed 11/20 passes for 104 yards and 4 interceptions in his debut as a starter for Montreal.
  4. Romain Alessandrini recorded his 7th goal of the season for the Galaxy in the 2-1 loss to Colorado. It was the first loss for the Galaxy since a 1-0 loss to Portland on June 15th.
  5. The “Admiral” David Robinson turns 53 today. Robinson shares his birthday with former Dodger pitcher Andy Messersmith who turns 73.
  6. The LA Chargers will kick off their preseason this Saturday against the Arizona Cardinals in Arizona. The Rams will travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens Thursday night.
