- As of Monday morning Chip Kelly hasn’t announced who the starter will be Saturday when the Bruins take on Cincinnati.
- Former USC Trojan Marquis Lee will be out for the 2018 season after suffering a knee injury in Saturday’s preseason game against Atlanta.
- Happy 25th birthday (August 26th) to former Monrovia Wildcat quarterback Nick Bueno.
- After two games, Bonita’s JP Andrade leads the CIF Southern Section and is second in CA in passing with 759 yards and eight touchdowns.
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic notched his 16th goal of the season for the Galaxy in the 1-1 draw with LAFC. The draw helps keep the Galaxy one point ahead of Portland for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
- On this day in 1982 Rickey Henderson eclipsed Lou Brock’s mark of 118 stolen bases with his 119th. Henderson went on to steal 130.

Like I said before I’d be very surprised if JT Daniels isn’t one-and-done for the Trojans this year, leaving the team to repeat this one-season shuffle with the next big thing, Bryce Young. We have officially entered the era of the assembly-line athlete.
