Is St.Paul home or away?
From T. Peterson: They’re at Lawndale.
@Fridayknights
Hmmmmm!!!!!! He was powerful enough to embarrass you and your overrated program…Crawl back under that rock and enjoy 2nd place.
I’m sorry nice try but as soon as I read Booth was powerful I disregarded anything else you had to say. Have you even seen Booth play? His game is speed and jukes the next time Booth lowers his shoulder pads will be the first time. He’s nowhere near a physical runner. This game will be won and lost upfront if Adelanto can penetrate defensively they win if they can’t they lose. Adelanto can score but it won’t matter if they can’t get stops. I’m thinking EM wins 42-28
PAC scout should go back to his division that he’s “familiar” with. He obviously doesn’t know much about anything other than Div.1.
Newsflash…the ER team you allegedly Saw in Week 0 is NOT the same team now. Their running on all cylinders now. Tough task vs
Eisenhower… but they shocked me vs. Moreno Valley so hey…that’s why play to win the game
@Pac Scout
You sound really dumb and it’s all good though people have doubted us all year but look where we are.
Sounds like somebody has been watching film.
@Thompson
A very interesting question, but the answer is not so simple. It is difficult to assess how they match up vs EM. Adelanto has a running back who is just as good as Booth; not quite as powerful, but shiftier, and perhaps possesses equal speed. Boy can flat out run, and will present problems for EM. Looks like Napoleon Kaufman when he runs the rock. However, as a whole, including the coaching staff, Adelanto is extremely undisciplined. They rely more on athleticism than execution. Their play-calling is horrendous, almost as if they are playing backyard football. They don’t seem to have an offensive scheme, only a variety of offensive formations. No sophisticated blocking schemes, no RPOs, no dynamic routes. It’s “throw it up and watch me go get it,” or “give me the ball and watch me run.”
Now, on the other end of the spectrum, they can ball, and they will bring it! If you blink, or look down on your phone, you might miss something. I don’t think they have the discipline to stop EM’s attack, but they certainly have the speed to wreak havoc, and their little defensive backs will come up and SMACK YOU hard! It will be interesting to see if their team speed can manage to clog up running lanes before they develop.
This is no cake walk for EM. EM has the upper hand because they are a machine whose moving parts are working in unison, and whose coach knows what to call in big games. EM has major swag on its side, and apparently extremely confident in their abilities. Time will tell if it reaches the point of “overconfidence.”
However, I’d say when Adelanto arrives in EL Monte, there should definitely be a sign on their bus that says, BEWARE!
No drama to an ER-Bonita matchup. Those days are long gone.
How huge would it be if Bonita and El Rancho make it through to the finals!!!!! Imagine if Bonita falls and ER good through those parents would cause a riot.
Why are people so high on Adelanto? I see the record but can anyone give us an insight on Adelanto
Shhhhhh!
I still say Bonita wins it all but is anyone going to mention the possible epic matchup in the D-10 finals???
Saw El Rancho in 0 week and Eisenhower in week 8 against San Gregornio. Ike is armed with several D1 athletes like Knight and Moreno Valley . El Rancho’s first two opponents. Ike will certainly attack El Rancho’s weakness. It’s secondary. Sweeps and jump balls will rain all night on the Dons. Eisenhower’s wideouts are taller and faster. I see the Don’s with no chance at all. But then again I thought the same thing when they played Moreno Valley and Knight. 52-14 Eisenhower.
The Ranch vs. Ike!
1960s vs. 1990s
Great call on Versailles!!!
I think it was easy to assume that NV would slip, as we do tend to focus on a couple of star players at skill positions. But NV actually had some decent talent all over the field. Comstock was great, no doubt about it, but he wasn’t just a one man show.
Petersen, I’ll be happy to send you info regarding the game, just let me know where to send it. You got my email. It’s going to be a great game Culver City has a lot of talent but NV can pull this off. Go Valle Vista!
From T. Peterson: Thanks SD Fanatic. My e mail address is tim@midvalleysports.com
Best response ever read. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Here, Here… @football dude
Good idea not to send anyone. Too long a drive to see CC blow them out. Season ends this week. Too bad, so sad.
Called Nothview over Warren. Last year, after San Dimas was eliminated I followed Covina through the playoffs to support the Valle Vista team. Well it looks like this year I’m following NV. I am truly amazed at how coach Perez reloaded this season after losing Comstock. It is a work of art the NV coaches are accomplishing. Last week many were writing about how over rated NV was, well many are eating crow this week. My kids and I are going to make the trip out to Culver City to see NV continue their journey to a CIF championship. Yes, I envy their success but I am supporter of young men developing their character through football. Therefore, I wish NV ultimate success. Also, my kids love going to Versailles, a Cuban restaurant in Culver City and always look fo4 an excuse to go.
From T. Peterson: I don’t know if I have anybody going out there. Can you send me some info? Ha ha!
Football Dude’s post is one of the best ever put up on the Mid Valley boards. I’d like to add an encouragement to everyone within earshot to get out and support these great young men. Give them the gift of playing before a capacity crowd.
A couple of years age this would have been Thanksgiving week football practice. A great privilege to be still practicing after thousands of teams have turned in their equipment. Well the tradition still stands in semi’s week. Congrats to all players still taking to the practice field tomorrow. Have fun.
At this point it’s not about being lucky or because of bad officiating. It’s about the hard work, dedication, commitment and preparation. Players are banged up, sore and determined. I applaud all the players and coaches for your success thus far. Good luck to all the semifinalists. You deserve to be there.
