1. Former Pasadena G/F Omari Moore is now officially a San Jose State Spartan.

2. The Seattle Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers 27-24 on Thursday Night Football.

3. Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is named American League MVP. Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers wins the National League MVP.

4. Blake Snell of the Tampa Bay Rays is the AL Cy Young Award winner. The New York Mets’ Jacob deGrom wins the NL Cy Young Award.

5. Lakers guard Rajon Rondo will have surgery on his broken hand and will miss four to five weeks.

6. The Lakers’ LeBron James passed Wilt Chamberlain for fifth all-time on the NBA scoring list. James now has 31,425 points in his career.

7. The Houston Rockets officially part ways with Carmelo Anthony after 10 games.

8. Temple City opened the 2018-’19 basketball season with a 55-53 win over Gabrielino Tuesday night. Thursday night the Rams fell to Keppel 52-34 evening their record at 1-1.

9. The LA Chargers are 7-2 on the season with their only losses coming to the 9-1 Rams and the 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs.

    Rondo will be out at least two months, because his hand must heal to the point of delivering 50-pound punches, sometimes in a flurry. As for the ER-Ike tussle, yes, it’s gonna be tough and the locals really need to “take care of business”….like making grades.
