(Altadena) – Antyone Sims has been dismissed as the head coach at Muir after four years sources confirmed Monday.
Sims, who played his high school football at Muir and graduated in 1998, took over for John Hardy after the 2014 season and went 3-7 his first year on the sidelines in 2015. But the following season he guided the Mustangs to a 4-3 record in the Pacific and a trip to the playoffs where they lost to Antelope Valley. Muir finished 6-5 overall.
The Last two years Muir missed the playoffs although the Stangs went 7-3 overall this past season. Sims was 22-19 overall in his four year stint.
The administration stated they have decided to “go in a different direction.” The search for a new coach will begin immediately.
Why not hire the James brothers formed la Hawkins high coach’s
I totally agree with you that the Pasadena School District is probably the worst in the entire San Gabriel Valley. How could a city with so much money and revenue have a school district that messed up. Well the people that actually have the influence to fix it send their kids to private school and look the other way. So the normal academic minded kids parent will send them to private or out of district. But I’m quite sure with the right coach and some excitement towards the program more of the kids that’s been playing Pop Warner JR All American together would be inclined to stay and play in their city.
@King i think PUSD being a terrible district has more than anything to do with parents and students wanting out.
@king Maxie will never get a HC job!
Omg shut up with Jude Already…..
Will they get Jude this time
Why do I get the feeling Coach Maxie will be the next coach at Muir! Let’s be real he is the reason so many kids from Pasadena is playing for Arcadia who are in the CIF Finals.
