2. The Diamond Ranch girls beat Mayfair 58-52 to win the CIF Division 3A basketball championship.

3. The Santa Fe girls beat Hillcrest 55-38 to win the CIF Division 4A Basketball championship.

4. The Northview girls beat Oak Park 47-43 to win the CIF Division 4AA Basketball championship.

5. The South El Monte girls beat Arrowhead Christian 5-1 to win the CIF Division 6 Soccer championship.

6. The La Salle girls beat St. Margaret’s 3-2 (penalty kicks) to win the CIF Division 4 Soccer championship.

7. Sierra Vista beat St. Margaret’s 2-1 to win the CIF Division 5 Boys Soccer championship.

8. Marshall beat La Puente 3-2 to win the  CIF Division 6 Boys Soccer championship.

9. San Dimas beat Thacher 5-4 to win the CIF Division 7 Boys Soccer championship.

10. The Dodgers are back in the Bryce Harper sweepstakes after meeting with him in Las Vegas over the weekend. The Dodgers are interested in a short-term contract.

    With all those local schools taking CIF championships it would be nice to possibly get some coverage on high school soccer next season.

    #10 I don’t see the Dodgers going beyond 5 years for Harper. So let’s say $165-200 million. Will Harper agree to that ? Probably not, but then again I think he really wants to win, not like Machado who went for the money. Harper already turned down $300 million from Washington so let’s hope he see’s the Dodgers as his best shot at a ring.

    The Lakers’ failure to make the playoffs this season will be huge, and bodes poorly for the future of Magic & Rob in the front office. The team is now WORSE than it was with Jimmy Buss, the guy Jeannie tried to save us from.

    Bryce Harper definitely deserves 1oo million plus. Check his stats last year. BA .249- SO 169 times-RBI 100-HR 34. Beer next year at Dodger 30$ for 12oz.
