2. The Milwaukee Bucks lead the Toronto Raptors 1-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals. Game Two is Friday Night in Milwaukee.

3. Zion Williamson is excited to play for the New Orleans Pelicans according to the Duke star’s stepfather. Williamson is expected to be the number one overall pick of New Orleans in the upcoming NBA draft.

4. Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson is suspended for six games by the NFL for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy.

5. Brooks Koepka fired a course record 63 in the first round of the PGA Championship Thursday.

6. New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar will have season ending surgery to repair a small labrum tear in his right shoulder.

7. The Warriors have ruled out Kevin Durant for Games 3 and 4 in Portland.

8. Arroyo vs. Marshall, CIF Baseball Division 7 Final, 1:00 p.m. at UC Riverside.

9. On this day in 1979 the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Chicago Cubs 23-22 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. There were 50 hits including 11 home runs in the game.

10. Also on this day in 1998 the Yankees David Wells threw a perfect game in a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Twins.

    @ Anon: Stupid to try and put down a D7 or any title from the CIF. A D7 title from the Southern Section would equate to a state title in more than half the states in the US.

    @the reunion 10 years from now,when these kids are remembering their high school days and CIF champion baseball is mentioned, not one kid is going to complain that it was only Division 7.

    The way golden State continues to roll despite Durant’s absence makes a stark contrast with the proceedings in Laker-land. I see no hope in waiting for the Buss-led group to stumble upon the right player mix. Moron Jimmy Buss declared he would step-down if things didn’t improve within a set time frame; it’s time for Jeannie to make the same type of pledge.
