2. NFC Wildcard Playoffs: Minnesota 26 New Orleans 20 OT; Seattle 17 Philadelphia 9.

3. AFC Wildcard Playoffs: Houston 22 Buffalo 19 OT; Tennessee 20 New England 13.

4. Chicago Bears right guard Kyle Long announced he is retiring after seven seasons.

5. Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has declared for the NFL draft.

6. New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes suffered a fractured ankle in a bizarre incident involving a wild boar at his animal ranch in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

7. The Milwaukee Bucks have the best record in the NBA at 32-5. The Atlanta Hawks have the worst at 8-28.

8. For the second straight year the New Orleans Saints season ended with a question on whether a pass interference flag should have been thrown.

9. On this day in 1980 the Los Angeles Rams beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-0 in Tampa Stadium to win the NFC Championship.

10. Happy Birthday to former Rams receiver Harold Jackson who turns 74 today.
