  1. The NFL suspended Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley for at least the 2022 season for betting on games. 
  2. The Seattle Seahawks traded quarterback Russell Wilson and a fourth round pick to the Denver Broncos for 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks, 1 fifth round pick, quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant and defensive lineman Shelby Harris. 
  3. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he will return to the Green Bay Packers but a new deal hasn’t been agreed on yet. 
  4. The Chargers signed wide receiver Mike Williams to a three-year, $60 million deal. 
  5. The Packers placed the franchise tag on All-Pro receiver Davante Adams. 
  6. The Tennessee Titans signed linebacker Harold Landry to a five-year, $87 million deal. 
  7. Foothill beat Los Altos 46-41 Tuesday night in the CIF State Regional Final. 
  8. Gonzaga won the WCC Championship with an 82-69 win over St. Mary’s Tuesday night.  
  9. AP Men’s College Basketball Top 5: 1. Gonzaga 2. Arizona 3. Baylor 4. Auburn 5. Kentucky. 
  10. Former Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth turns 57 today.

    Sure hope the Russell going to Denver pans-out better than the Russell that went to the Lakers. Speaking of hoops, the Conquerors of Los Altos will be back next year with much of their team intact, so the old saying of “better luck next year” is well warranted.
