  1. The Indianapolis Colts acquired quarterback Matt Ryan from the Atlanta Falcons for a third round draft pick in this year’s draft. The Falcons will take on a $40.5 million dead cap charge by trading Ryan. 
  2. The Falcons agreed to terms on a two-year contract with quarterback Marcus Mariota. 
  3. Former Pasadena star guard Darius Brown II, who is transferring from Cal State Northridge, has heard from Georgetown, San Francisco, Pepperdine, Montana State, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Denver, Jackson State and Nebraska Omaha since entering the portal. 
  4. The Boston Red Sox signed free agent shortstop Trevor Story to a six-year, $140 million deal.
  5. Former South Hills star shortstop Jacob Amaya is on the Dodgers spring training roster. 
  6. Freddie Freeman singled in his first at bat as a Dodger Tuesday. 
  7. Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard will miss the rest of the season with an abdomen injury. 
  8. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached a three-year, $21 million deal with running back Leonard Fournette.

  10. USC opened spring football camp Tuesday under first year head coach Lincoln Riley.
