  1. North Carolina beat Duke 81-77 Saturday night to advance to the NCAA Championship game. It marked the final game for legendary Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski who is retiring after 43 years at Duke. 
  2. Kansas beat Villanova 81-65 to advance to the NCAA Championship game. 
  3. Kansas vs. North Carolina, NCAA Championship, Monday Night, 6:20 p.m. TBS, New Orleans Superdome. 
  4. The Dodgers traded AJ Pollack to the Chicago White Sox for reliever Craig Kimbrel Friday. 
  5. The Angels designated outfielder Justin Upton for assignment. Upton is owed $28 million on the last year of his contract. 
  6. The Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets 129-118 Sunday to fall to 31-47 on the year. The Lakers are currently in 11th place in the Western Conference, two games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the last playoff spot. 
  7. Baseball: Monrovia is 5-2, and in first place in the Rio Hondo league, one-half game ahead of Temple City, 4-2. 
  8. Former Ohio State head coach Thad Matta has been hired as the new head basketball coach at Butler.  
  9. Running back Frank Gore will sign a one-day contract with the San Francisco 49ers and retire with the team that drafted him. Gore played 16 seasons in the NFL, the first 10 with the 49ers. 
  10. South Carolina beat UConn 64-49 Sunday night to win the NCAA Women’s basketball championship.
