  3. The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Phoenix Suns 134-95 Wednesday night to take a 3-2 lead in their Western Conference Semi-Final playoff series. 
  4. The Miami Heat beat the Philadelphia 76ers 99-90 Thursday night to wrap up the Eastern Conference Semi-Final playoff series in six games. 
  5. The Rams will host the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night September 8 to kick off the 2022 NFL season. 
  6. The New England Patriots are finalizing a trade of backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham to the Las Vegas Raiders. 
  7. Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was arrested Thursday afternoon in Colorado on charges of 2nd degree criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer. 
  8. The Edmonton Oilers beat the Kings 4-2 Thursday night to even their Western Conference playoff series at 3-3.
  9. Philadelphia Phillies star outfielder Bryce Harper has a torn UCL and can’t throw a baseball for four weeks. He can still swing a bat and may be used as a designated hitter.

    The $6 gas and $12 admission would seem to be adequate to keep people away from the north-south affair, but to ensure low turnout, Robledo has added his dagger. He continues to impress in his quest to save the newspaper group.
