1. The Boston Celtics beat the Golden State Warriors 120-108 Thursday night in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

2. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick announced his retirement after 17 seasons in the NFL.  

3. Former Dallas Cowboys/ Chicago Bears running back Marion Barber has died at the age of 38. At this time cause of death is unknown. 

4. “I’ve just got to go get it.” – Kansas City Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy on becoming an NFL head coach. 

5. Softball: Temple City will host St. Anthony Saturday in the CIF State DIII Regional Championship. 

6. Gonzaga center Drew Timme is withdrawing from the NBA draft and will return to the Bulldogs next season. 

7. USC guard Drew Peterson has withdrawn from the NBA draft and will return to the Trojans next season. 

8. The Pasadena 7 on 7 Tournament is set for Saturday July 9. 

9. On this day in 1932 Lou Gehrig hit four consecutive home runs to lead the New York Yankees to a 20-13 win over the Philadelphia A’s at Shibe Park. Gehrig was the first ever to hit four consecutive home runs in a major league game. 

10. Boston Celtics center Al Horford turns 36 today.
