  1. The Dodgers beat the Chicago White Sox 11-9 Thursday to improve to 37-20 on the year and stay two games in front of the San Diego Padres in the NL West. 
  2. The Angels snapped a 14 game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Boston Red Sox Thursday night. 
  3. The Boston Celtics beat the Golden State Warriors 116-100 in Game 3 Wednesday night to take a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals.    
  4. Warriors guard Stephen Curry said he will play in Game 4 Friday night despite suffering a leg injury in the fourth quarter of Game 3.  
  5. The Rams signed receiver Cooper Kupp to a new five-year $110 million deal. 
  6. La Mirada quarterback Nehuel Garcia is visiting Stanford this week. 
  7. White Sox manager Tony La Russa intentionally walked the Dodgers Trea Turner Thursday with a 1-2 count. Max Muncy followed with a three-run home run. 
  8. Former San Diego Chargers quarterback Dan Fouts turns 71 today. 
  9. On this day in 1997 Kevin Brown threw a no-hitter in the Florida Marlins 9-0 win over the San Francisco Giants. 
  10. Shareef O’Neal, son of Shaquille O’Neal, has an upcoming workout set with the Lakers.

    The really good thing about sports is that having a successful daddy won’t guarantee anybody a roster spot. If Shaq had been a senator or big business owner, his son would easily follow in those big footsteps. But in sports, you actually have to be exceptional, and kids like Shareef and Bronny are not.
