[Baldwin Park] – Eric “Tarzan” Terrazas found the end zone five times for Sierra Vista as the Dons as thrashed Bassett 60-13 at home on Thursday night.
Sierra Vista received the ball first and drove it 70-yards and it was capped off by an Alexis Alonso 17-yard touchdown.
The Dons forced a punt on defense and two plays later Terrazas found the end zone for the first time with a 41-yard scamper to the end zone making it 14-0.
The Olympians got on the board with a three-yard run by Eddie Guerrero making it 14-7.
Just over a minute later Terrazas found paydirt again this time from 56-yards out to make it 22-7 after a two-point conversion.
Early in the second quarter Terrazas hit the end zone for the third time this one was from 45-yards out.
After a Sierra Vista stop they gave the ball right back to Bassett when quarterback Andre Malloy fumbled a pitch.
The Olympians took it to the air when Eduardo Alvarez snuck one into Giovanni Alvarez who broke a tackle and scored, making the score 30-13 at half.
Bassett got the ball first in the second half and forced fumble by Frankie Zelaya and a recovery by Jason Ton put the Dons in great field position.
Terrazas would score on a 63-yard reverse and on the next possession a 87-yard burst making it 44-13 after three quarters. Those were his only two touches second half.
Sierra Vista’s defense worked the second half and held Olympians out the end zone.
Robert Rodriguez would get in on the run for the Dons scoring from 8-yards out and Alonso found the end zone again when he intercepted a pass and took it 23-yards for the score to cap off the scoring for Sierra Vista.
Terrazas finished with 16-carries for 410-yards and five touchdowns, put in six two-point conversions and an interception on defense. As a team the Dons racked up 546-yards on the ground.
Sierra Vista (3-1) will stay home to face El Monte next Thursday while Bassett (0-4) will have a bye week.
Can’t. They don’t read the blogs. I’m asking y’all? How did EM screw them?
Ask Torres or Cuevas.
How did El Monte screw him and the staff?
Yes they do
SV playing very weak competition so far and can’t cover the pass
The question is does BP have enough to beat SV?
Sound like a total idiot. No he didn’t have a student living with him moron. That running back just got a offer from Utah State. Trash? Gtfoh. So clear it up for us cause you don’t know what you’re talking about.
the question is does cry baby night have enough Night to stop the beast! ?
How were they screwed over? Did he not have a high school student living with him? Really tight family and staff, seems like sierra vista always takes the trash! O wait was that the running back that won state but went nowhere. Please clear it up!
@BHS: There is so much transfering that teams are letting 20 year olds play for them. They just had to arrest a player here locally from the mid valley area for fake papers. The only way they caught him was that somebody from his past recognized him and oh yeah the gray hair didn’t help.
Fix your roster.
Or your coaches too busy with the vape pens on the sidelines with your players?
Can’t wait for SV to run it down EM throat for screwing over Ceniceros & his staff.
Half the guys you write about graduated already. Eduardo Alvarez and Eddie Guerrero have been out of school for two years.
Does Sierra Vista have enough to beat Baldwin park?
