Look out for cal this year! 4 year starter at Qb, one of the best RB’s in the area returning, a great secondary, and the one of the best OL coaches around.

No doubt it’s a different day and age ….kids are licensed to pursue their perceived best opportunity; let’s call it “student-athlete empowerment”. Generally , the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and this accounts for the dwindling quality in many of the traditional SGV leagues (MVL, Del Rio-LaSerna excepted, Miramonte , Almont).

Whittier won’t have much left after losing 3 quality players , they only suited up 30 on Varsity last year !

Ancich goes to Ancich ……:Villa Park ….ride goes a whole lot faster when you’re winning!
Whittier kid goes to La Serna , that’s a decade long trend !
Sonora improving program, sometimes opportunities better at mid level upcoming than traditional transfer laden programs (La Habra)

Everyone has to adjust to the new landscape of high school sports !

why would anyone from Whittier transfer to LS?

    Sonora? why not La Habra
Villa Park? WTH that is a long drive

should have stayed in DRL and go to any of the other schools to make it more competitive against LS, they already get MAJORITY of whittier kids.
“cant beat them, JOIN THEM” mentality for losers

You are way off, boomers (post WWII babies) are in their mid seventies in 2023. Bradberry’s grandpa may have been a boomer.
I watched the nterview, no complaints from BradberryHe said he held him, official flagged him.

Fred is surprised that many football players are transferring out to other schools. How dumb is he? He thought Coach V was good for the program. He is a reporter that doesn’t do research or ignores the pass. Everywhere coach V has have been he has left the program in worse shape. That is the same for Maxie, Pasadena will be a mess next year. You can fool the dumb, Fred and James but you can’t fool the smart Aram. I know a lot of people think Aram is a POS, but he sees pass the BS.

Whittier hired the Bassett coach, Whittier is in a tough spot! Tough league and their best athletes (best for them) transferred out. One to La Serna, one to Sonora, and the big one to Villa Park.

Whittier’s set to explode, as their new man was mentored by Ryan Bateman. Bateman was unavailable for comment, as he’s spending the week at Disneyland, after he heard the Chiefs are world champions.

Rumor has it Whittier made a good hire. Another local program will be coach hunting again, however. Wonder what is taking so long to make an announcement?

There you have it from the horse’s mouth. Still, the howls about shady officials persist. What cost Philly the game was the point differential in the second half. I actually went to mow the lawn during halftime and most of the third quarter, feeling sure the Eagles had this in the bag. Sure enough, they took it out of the bag and handed it to KC.

The thing that really upset me was that the league couldn’t see their way to have a national anthem for every conceivable race, religion and shoe size. It would be only fair, even if the songs played well into next week. To quote Tim: “that’s my principle.”
