  1. The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 104-103 Saturday night in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals to force a Game 7 in Boston on Monday night. 
  2. Josef Newgarden won the Indianapolis 500 Sunday. 
  3. The Dodgers lost to Tampa Bay 11-10 Sunday and lost two of three to the Rays in the series.
  4. The Milwaukee Bucks hired former Toronto Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin as their new head coach. 
  5. The Arizona Cardinals released wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins on Friday. 
  6. Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden was brought in by the New Orleans Saints to help new quarterback Derek Carr with the offense. 
  7. The LA Galaxy are 2-9-3, (W-L-D), last in the Western Conference through their first 14 games. 
  8. The Dallas Stars beat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 Saturday night in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. The Golden Knights lead the series 3-2. 
  9. On this date in 1980 the Boston Celtics’ Larry Bird was named NBA Rookie of the Year. The Lakers’ Magic Johnson was runner-up. 
  10.  Former NBA star Carmelo Anthony, who recently retired after 19 years in the league, turns 39 today.
