I think anyone from the Del Rio League shouldn’t be allowed to post anymore. It’s the same thing everyday. Beast leagues in the area are the Gateway, Valle Vista and Baseline if you extend out a bit. If have 3 quality teams in your league you, you have a reason to talk. Del Rio far from it!!!

El Rancho is a bye product of their preseason schedule, out of 6 games they played 3 tough opponents (Mayfair, West Covina and Monrovia) and came out injured all over the place. It’s not coaching or the kids quit, they are hurt in key positions (3rd or 4th Running Back). If they can get healthy by Santa Fe they beat them! Santa Fe is a product of their preseason, they have played ABSOLUTELY no one! Look at the records of the teams they have beat, after La Serna beats up everyone the DeL Rio League could be interesting!

You’re 100% correct…the second Del Rio playoff spot will go to the winner of Cal-SF. Speaking of Santa Fe, first year coach Ryan Bateman has surprised many with his salesmanship of football at his alma mater. The numbers are way up, and enthusiasm is high. Don’t know if the man is great with the X’s and O’s, but when you’ve got great participation, you’ll bring in money and support from the associated adults. The Cal game will determine if the Chiefs will shock everyone by making the playoffs after a long dry spell.

Bescause Cal Hi made plays when they had to and we couldn’t get the stops we needed in key moments. Its football things don’t always go as planned, football coaches and yelling is the norm in most locker rooms, if anyone can’t handle that then turn your pads in and go play some other sport.

Obviously, the ER-Cal game is the oddity of the weekend. This game was close at the half, with the Condors leading by just 7 points. With a playoff spot in the balance, it was thought that the Dons might gather themselves to play better in the second half and secure the win Calpreps and others expected. Instead, the Pico team came out and played flat. None of the zeal shown against West Covina was there. I believe that whatever was said at halftime to inspire the troops backfired and made them listless. There is a fine line between firing people up and making them turn on you. That’s what this looks like. Call me wrong, but only if you have a better explanation for this crazy result.

Cal hi can only dream for El Rancho to get rid of their staff, they haven’t had much success over ER in the last decade. Lower levels for Cal Hi getting put on a running clock 5 minutes into the game last week because their coaches requested it. Expect more of that the next few years. Congrats Cal you got this one, maybe you’ll get another in 5-6 years.

Louie did a great job getting his boys ready, ER Post season is pretty much over 95%… so the rest of the season is simply for the seniors to get them last jiggles.
Im not going to go into details of what i think our problems are but its DEFINITELY NOT THE COACHES just yet we have a 3 more games this season and I just hope these boys look to finish 3-0…

Not surprised as usual this turned into La Serna and singling out 2 of their guys they’re excited about. Everything is good at LS, and everything will play itself out sorry if it ain’t for everyone. Nobody used the injury card after playing WestCo close, but now it’s certain that Cal only won because most ER guys are on crutches. Maybe CIF can make the Condors forfeit due to injury sympathy.
