[Compton] Ezra Mueller had his third straight 200-yard game leading Norwalk to a dominating 56-6 victory over Compton Early College at Compton College Friday night.
Norwalk didn’t allow a first down the first half giving up under 20 yards in the half.
Mueller had four touchdowns in the first half on runs of 29, 30, 33 and 43 yards. Diego Cerritos had only two carries in the first half but scored twice. Derek Sandoval also found paydirt the first half when he dove in from one yard out making the half time score 49-0.
The Lancers got the ball in the first half and Sandoval found the end zone for the second time from 18-yards out.
Compton Early College forced a fumble and with a short field Leton Washington scrambled and jumped into the end zone but the extra point was missed.
Mueller finished with 212 yards on 12 touches, Cerritos had 108 on only 3 carries and Sandoval went for five for 103 yards.
The Lancers lead the state in rushing and Mueller is over 1,200-yards on the ground.
Norwalk now 5-1 will face Gahr (3-3) at home in their second Mid Cities league game.
