  1. The Lakers traded Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick to the Dallas Mavericks for Luca Doncic, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris. 
  2. The deal also included the Utah Jazz who will receive guard Jalen Hood-Schifino from the Lakers as well as two 2025 second-round picks. 
  3. Northview receiver Isaiah Lucero received an offer from Michigan State. 
  4. Baldwin Park quarterback Jacob Garcia received an offer from Graceland University.

    I view this Lakers move as one calculated to generate a sense of hope…hope that the new crew won’t be as bad as the old one. The only way to construct a dynasty is the way Jerry West did it for Golden State, which is to identify tomorrow’s greats before everyone has caught on to the fact. Not everyone is up to this, but it’s better than playing musical chairs with today’s oldsters.
