@ FBFan: I believe that you mixed me up with RHL Fan, but that’s not too bad because I think he had a solid take. By the way, I just offered my own opinions below Tim Peterson’s post regarding the new conference setup for the Foothill Area.
@Ron Vrooman,
I’m not too sure about that guy. First, he openly whines about playing tougher competition and then he schedules 3 City section schools, and not even the upper echelon city schools either…
It’s Monrovia we’re talking about here, not Bassett!!
@FBFan, didn’t Monrovia’s current head coach/Athletic Director come from LA City Section? Maybe not such a surprise that he as AD has scheduled City section schools. It’s too bad as Monrovia used to like a good hard non-league schedule. You can see why he is against a merger with the Pacific League.
Well Smith was WR coach with a year with Packers practice squad (Super Bowl year 2010) and a career in Arena League.
The NFL thing sounds good , but typically doesn’t equate with high school success, particularly in a public school environment. Times have changed , and football doesn’t have the dominant spot on high school
Campuses it once did .
My guess is either something surfaced in background or there was a major conflict with administration about what both sides thought was clearly non negotiable.
Looking at the Monrovia schedule and can’t believe what I see. 3 city section schools scheduled? Come on man!!!
Do we want to know the reason for Smith’s canning at Ayala? Absolutely…but it’s not because we’re busy bodies; it’s because, like the National Enquirer always says, we just want to “stay in touch” with our fellow human beings.
