3. Former NFL general manager Ernie Accorsi (Baltimore Colts, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants) passed away Saturday at the age of 84.
4. Former La Serna star Owen Long, now at Arizona State, was named Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week. He had 12 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble in a 24-17 win over Kansas Saturday.

6. Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson said quarterback Caleb Williams is week-to week after he suffered a hamstring injury Sunday in a loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
7. The Milwaukee Brewers set a franchise record for victories in a season with their 98th Sunday in a 3-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The Brewers have already clinched the AL Central Division title and have the best record in baseball.
8. Nogales is 5-0 on the season and has outscored its opponents 233-130.
9. Oregon is a 2.5 point favorite over USC Saturday at the Coliseum.
10. The Chargers placed tight ends Charlie Kolar and David Njoku on injured reserve Monday. both players will be out at least four games. Oronde Gadsden is the only tight end on the active roster.
