Before I dive into the Rams and NFL, go Ole Miss. Great game, but I find premeditated F-Bombs lame.

Rams win tonight 29-23. It’s close for a while, but the ability to run the ball makes the difference, and no one will be impressed. Proclamations will continue about the sky falling as the team improves to 1-1.  I know it’s been four years, and in 2022 it was his left hamstring, but it got me thinking about Caleb Williams’s right hamstring injury yesterday.

It might mean nothing, but then again, the first time Washington TaxSkin quarterback Jayden Daniels injured his left elbow, no one thought that was a big deal.

What happened to the Bolts? Losing to the Las Vegas Raiders yesterday made the Week One loss to the Arizona Cardinals look even worse.

The Chargers should be 2-0. I like Jim Harbaugh, but he needs a quick course correction.

And judging by how the Bolts held up against the Silver & Black, the Cardinals’ 31-7 home loss to the Seattle Seahawks (without Sam Darnold) is very telling.

I understand Deshaun Watson played well in the Cleveland Browns win in Tampa, but my question is: when does Todd Bowles become unemployed?

Aaron Rodgers experiencing “The Malachi Crunch”…

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was given “The Malachi Crunch” by New England yesterday.

In the immediate, it was a Philly victory, but in the grand scheme of things, the Titans beat the Eagles 20-24 on Sunday. Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert left early, and the offensive line was meh. Jalen Hurts—far from perfect—went into MVP mode. Give him credit.

I know the New York Jets lost. I know HC Aaron Glenn biffed it big time, but they haven’t been this competitive since Riff, Tony, and Ice were in the lineup.

I guess the Saints didn’t get the memo that the Ravens are Super Bowl bound…By not pounding it with Derrick Henry, was the plan to have Lamar Jackson win the game with his arm?

On another note, I do like the matte finish on the Ravens helmet.

Back to the Bears and the greatest offense in history… In the first two weeks, Chicago has scored 62 points…the Carolina Panthers have scored 71.

You can’t put the Bears’ three-point output against Minnesota on Caleb Williams getting hurt—he played most of the game.

I’m not ready to declare the Vikings defense the ’85 Bears, but they were good enough to expose flaws along the Chicago offensive line.

Sunday Night Football was a fun watch.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones twice last night, on runs for the first-down marker, gave me Drew Bledsoe vibes…

Hi, I’m Emmett: If Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III has a full Saquon Barkley ’24 type of season, it’s going to be because of Emmett Johnson.

Walker’s been great, but after two games, he has 56 touches, which puts him on pace for 476 touches in the regular season. By the end of the postseason, that touch count will be over 500.

Do you really think Walker’s going to hold up that long?

I know everyone wants to declare the Chiefs are back, but how many starters went down in the Colts’ secondary last night?

What Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon is doing is a joke.

I have no problem with an owner being on the field. If I were an owner, I’d want a receiver in my ear to know what play is being called next—that’s an owner’s right—all good.

But to pose and posture that she’s taking notes to help make future decisions about the team is ridiculous and purely performative. As was her presser about the future of her GM and HC if the team isn’t successful.

You think GM Chris Ballard and HC Shane Steichen don’t know that? Are you kidding me? I agree, they should be fired if they have another collapse…but the only reason to put them on the spot publicly was to grandstand for another audience and to let it know she’s the Boss Babe.
