(Baldwin Park) How many times have we heard fans exclaiming from the stands at football games, “Girls Can’t Play Football” or “This is a MAN’S game. You need to find something else!” Well, ladies, CIF finally got the message. Women’s Flag Football is now a bonified part of the sports landscape, and it is taking off in a grand fashion.

(Covina) – Damien led by 13 at the half and then broke it open in the third quarter and went on to shut out Charter Oak 35-0 Friday night at Lou Farrar Stadium.

(South Pasadena) – Senior running back Jason Hong carried the ball 21 times for 117 yards and four touchdowns to lead the South Pasadena Tigers to a 46-7 win over the visiting Alhambra Moors last Friday night.

(Burbank) – Max Kelley hauled in a 27-yard touchdown pass from Daniel Zacariaz with 1:12 left in the game to lift Burbank to a 13-10 win over St. Genevieve Friday night at Memorial Field. Here are some shots by photographer Doug Brown.
