The NCAA is weighing changes to eligibility to allow five seasons and eliminate redshirt and injury years. I like the honesty of acknowledging what we know, the players already are.
Scholarships should be replaced with contracts.
My only question is, after Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, what will the fifth season be called?

[El Monte] – I sat down with Mountain View baseball big man Ryan “The Lion” Molinar. Molinar is a two- time Mission Valley League all league second teamer. As a senior he is batting .341 with a home run and 15 RBIs. He also has a 6-1 record on the mound with a 1.58 ERA. Ryan’s story is a lot bigger than baseball. In 2020 he fought a battle with leukemia and won.

The only thing missing from last night’s national championship game was skates and Jonathan E….that was a physical contest.
Bodies were hitting the floor, players were going down, I kept waiting for Bill Rafferty to shout over the air, “Game? This wasn’t meant to be a game!”
