- The Carolina Hurricanes beat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 in overtime Thursday night in Game 2 to even the Staney Cup Final at 1-1.
- A fan who ran onto the court during the fourth quarter of Wednesday night’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals and attempted to take a selfie with San Antonio star Victor Wembanyama was arrested and given a lifetime ban from all NBA arenas, a league spokesperson said Thursday. A second person was also given a lifetime ban for his role in the incident.
- The Green Bay Packers signed receiver Christian Watson to a four-year, $110.5 million extension.
- The Rams and newly acquired defensive end Myles Garrett have agreed to a reworked contract.
- Upland linebacker Joseph Gholar (class of ’28) has transferred to Charter Oak. Gholar led Upland in tackles last year with 93 as a sophomore.
- Washington State Hall of Famer Ryan Leaf will serve as an analyst for Pac-12 Football this season on USA Network.
- Cantwell has rescheduled the First Annual Cardinal Classic Tournament to July 11th. The Tournament will feature 7 on 7 and 5 on 5 for the linemen. See details below.
- New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge is out with a stress fracture of a rib on his right side. He is out indefinitely and will have more imaging in about four to six weeks.
- Quarterback Russell Wilson announced his retirement from the NFL to take a job with CBS Sports. Wilson, a Ten-Time Pro Bowler, played ten years with the Seattle Seahawks before being traded to the Denver Broncos after the 2021 season. Wilson played two years in Denver, one year with the Pittsburgh Steelers and last year with the New York Giants.
- Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has signed a 10-year, $400 million endorsement contract with Chinese sports apparel company Li-Ning. Curry parted ways with Under Armour in November.
