Vikings Run Roughshod, 42-21

(Baldwin Park) – Bryan Salinas rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns and Christeon Blackmon racked up 164 yards on the ground to lead Northview to a 42-21 win over Baldwin Park Friday night to secure third place in the Valle Vista League.

Stung by the Stangs   Before Muir had even run an offensive play Friday night the Mustangs were up 14-0. A kick off return here, a pick six there and a minute and twelve seconds into the game Arcadia was down two touchdowns. It technically it wasn’t over but then again everybody knew it was.

West Covina Bests Bonita

By Joseph Rodriguez (La Verne)- West Covina was at Bonita for homecoming. The game was highly contested back and forth battle which saw the Bulldogs power (with Josh Best) and speed (with Sidney Jones) past the Bearcats in the 4th for a 26-14 win on Friday night at Glen Davis Stadium.

It’s, It’s a Mustang Blitz!

(Pasadena) – There were big passes, big runs, big hits and overall just big plays at Muir Friday night or more simply put it was a Mustang blitz in a 48-7 rout of Arcadia in Pacific League action. Before Muir had even a run an offensive play it was already 14-0 Mustangs and only one minute and 12 seconds had ticked off the clock.

As I walked off the field at Diamond Bar High School Friday night there was sense of emptiness inside. I felt an incredible void. It was unfinished business, a sense of a task started but not completed.

(Diamond Bar) – Diamond Ranch broke open a tie game in the fourth quarter to take a 34-20 lead and was on its way to an apparent victory over Diamond Bar Friday night at Diamond Bar High School. There was only one problem. They never finished the game.

(Eagle Rock) – Nick Watase ran for 231 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to lead Whittier Christian to a 41-21 win over Village Christian Thursday night in Olympic League action at Jack Kemp Stadium at Occidental College .
