Cougars Start Slow, Advance Fast, 75-67
By Tim Peterson (Azusa) – Azusa Pacific started slow, got even at half and then finished fast in a 75-67 win over Western Oregon in the first round of the Division 2 playoffs. The NCAA playoff win was the first in school history.

Monday Is Pro Day At APU
(Azusa) The APU Cougars will host a pro day this Monday, March 9th for this year’s senior class of football players. The event will be headlined of course by record breaking running back Terrell Watson. The event is open to the public and will begin at 1:30 pm.

(IRVINE) – The PacWest tournament is a “do or die” situation when needing to run the table. For Azusa Pacific the journey to the season came to an end as Hawaii Pacific went on a 18-6 run down the stretch to advance to the finals tomorrow afternoon with a 72-60 victory.

(Azusa) – As the regular season came to a close, the Azusa Pacific women’s basketball team solidified its fourth-place spot in the PacWest Conference with a 67-49 victory over Fresno Pacific.
No Place Like Home For Cougars

Two weeks ago the Lancers beat APU 87-80 before a raucous home crowd, but this time it was the Cougars who used a standing room only crowd to propel them to an 84-68 victory and to the cusp of a PacWest Conference title.
