Cougars’ Season Ends in Elite Eight
By Tim Peterson (Evansville, IN) – Troy Leaf scored 29 points but it wasn’t enough as Azusa Pacific fell to Indiana (PA) 69-65 Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Elite Eight is Great for APU
(Azusa) – Azusa Pacific went on a 27-8 run to open the second half and went on to beat Cal Baptist 91-79 Monday night at Felix Event Center. With the victory the Cougars advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Cougars Start Slow, Advance Fast, 75-67
By Tim Peterson (Azusa) – Azusa Pacific started slow, got even at half and then finished fast in a 75-67 win over Western Oregon in the first round of the Division 2 playoffs. The NCAA playoff win was the first in school history.

(IRVINE) – For the third time in less than 30 days, Azusa Pacific and Cal Baptist battled for PacWest Conference supremacy.

No Place Like Home For Cougars

Two weeks ago the Lancers beat APU 87-80 before a raucous home crowd, but this time it was the Cougars who used a standing room only crowd to propel them to an 84-68 victory and to the cusp of a PacWest Conference title.
Cougars Late Run Buries Chaminade
By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Azusa Pacific jumped out to a 17 point halftime lead and then withstood a furious Chaminade rally early in the second half and eventually pulled away to a 86-65 Monday night at Felix Event Center.
