(Burbank) – It was all Jossymar Ulloa for Mountain View night as the Vikings routed Bellarmine Jefferson 49-21 Saturday night at Burroughs High.

Ulloa ran for 353 yards and 6 touchdowns and got an interception on defense that he returned for 25 yards.

This was Ulloa’s fourth game of the season over 200 yards. He broke the school record for single game rush yards and he also went over the 1000 yard mark in only his fifth game. He now stands at 1123 yards on the season.

Ulloa scored on a 1-yard run in the first. Robert Ramos scored the only other touchdown by a Mountain View player, a 3-yard rush in the second quarter. Ulloa also ran for a 60 yard touchdown in the second and View had a 21-7 lead at the half.

Ulloa scored for the third time on a 4-yard run in the third. Late in the third, through early in the fourth, the View had three consecutive plays that Ulloa ran for touchdowns of 3, 65, and 50, ending his night.

“Jossymar has made huge strides from last year. We’re really excited about the way we’re playing and about the new double wing offense,” said Mt. View Coach James Wilson. “I mean this is a team that went 0-10 this year so yeah, we’re excited about what’s going on.”

Ulloa had a reasonable shot at 400 yards with less than 8 minutes to go in the fourth, but Wilson didn’t want to take any risks with his running back.

The rest of the team rushed for 133 yards and Jesus Ordaz went 7 for 7 in extra point attempts in View’s first win against Bell-Jeff.

Bell-Jeff quarterback Chris Issakanian went 5-14 for 107 yards passing and threw 3 interceptions. Micah Shirley had a total of 120 yards with 2 receptions and 2 scores.

Mt. View (3-2) will open up Mission Valley league play at El Monte (1-4) next week in the Cross-town Showdown and will try to spoil the Lions’ Homecoming celebration.
