Northview HC Marcel Perez welcomes Steve Garrison to his staff.
Northview Vikings Head Coach Marcel Perez has informed Mid Valley Sports that Steve Garrison will be his new offensive line coach for the 2011 football season.
Garrison, who served as head coach at Monrovia from 1993 thru 2007 and made three consecutive CIF Finals appearances, spent the last two seasons working as an assistant under Damien HC Greg Gano.
The move to Northview puts standout offensive linemen Nick Auxier and Pedro Munoz under the accomplished Garrison. It also reunites Garrison with former long time M-Town assistant Dominic Angelo.
Under Perez in 2010 the Vikings went 3-7 overall, but 3-3 in the Valle Vista narrowly losing to Covina, 14-11, in the league opener.
