(Baldwin Park) – Nogales battled back from a two run deficit early and then let a two run lead slip away in the sixth before finally putting away Baldwin Park 7-6 in nine innings Thursday in Valle Vista League play.
The Nobles scored a run in each of the first two innings to take a two run lead but the Braves rang up four in the third to grab the advantage.
Nogales tied it in the fourth with two and went up 6-4 with two more runs in the top of the sixth. BP came right back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth and the game ultimately went into extra innings.
Nogales pushed a run across in the ninth and then held off the Braves to end it.
Alejandro Natividad had two hits and two RBIs for Baldwin Park and Fernando Gonzales had a double and a pair of runs batted in. Christian Torres went two for three and drove in a run.
The Braves fell to .500 at 7-7 overall with the loss and 3-2 in league. Nogales improved to 11-8 and 2-3.
