(Glendale) – Andrew Policky, who was the defensive coordinator for the last three years, has been named the Head Coach at Hoover to replace Chris Long who stepped down earlier this month.
It’s the first head coaching position for Policky, a 1998 graduate of Arcadia High. Policky was a two way starter at Arcadia, and later returned to his alma mater to serve as an assistant under Jon Dimalante for four years before joining Long’s staff three years ago.
Policky has immediately begun to work on assembling his staff amidst the start of spring football activities.
The Tornadoes finished 1-9 last year and 2-8 in 2009.
