Mid Spotlight: George Frazier (G5)

George Frazier ready to make an impact in 2011

Monrovia’s George Frazier is ready to take his spot behind center after the graduation of the dynamic Nick Bueno. Frazier got in some work last year at QB but spent most of his time at linebacker. The Wildcat faithful have been anxiously awaiting Frazier’s debut. The wait will be over in September. The only question: Is G5 a better linebacker or quarterback?

2010 Stats:

Rushing: 11-53 yds., 2 TD. Long- 17

Passing: 5-13 98 yds., 2 TD, 1 Int. Long – 65

46 tackles, 31 assists. Total- 77, 5.5 per game. 1 Int. 1 Sack.

Saw this young man or the irst time at Arroyo tourney. Very impressive in stature and leadership. Obviously he can play both positions well but it will be up to him to decide which one to focus on. In my estimation I think he has all the tools needed to be a great QB and only needs a good QB coach to polish him up. Good Luck.

As a few had predicted, talent is now coming to Monrovia, rather than fleeing. That era is done.

Well, there is great news for the Wildcat faithful, We have a new Jr. QB in the mix who has just joined the team and has participated in the passing league game over at Glendora on Tues. I still see George Frazier being the front runner but this kid is as good and if he gets to know the offense then it will be a real battle at that position. He is a Monrovia kid that has that has just joined the team. His accuracy is dead on and his footwork is very good. Its great for the team to have 2 actually 4 Qb’s ready when needed.

These passing league tournaments have become pretty interesting for the Cats. Maddox will have his hands full this season sorting out his starting lineup. Having exceptional receivers could be a dream for a QB with great field vision. G5 could play Defense this season and next so that maybe he can focus on that D1 scholarship opportunity. Stay tuned for more over at Mtown. it’s only going to get better I promise you.
This is what G5 brings to the Wildcats game on the Defensive side of the ball.
