"You've gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up..."

Good Morning!

Given a choice between World Cup Soccer, the MLB All Star game, or watching the ESPY’S… I’ll take season tickets to Duarte Falcon Football…

Do you think Diamond Bar had a little bit of a coming out party these last few weeks…

Remember all that stuff I was saying about Monrovia not being a lock to win the Mid Valley Division again…That they may have a let down…That they will be breaking in a new quarterback…?

Well, I’ve changed my mind…M-Towm alum Kennedy Bryant may say that makes me softer than my Mother’s love… But the Wildcats just seem to have so much…Which equals too much for the rest of the Mid… Anthony Craft, Luke Williams, Mason Bryant…and that’s without mentioning Zeus… Monrovia is an overwhelming force…that always arrives first with the most men…

I always thought Carmaggedon would be when the forces of the good combustion engine of the Ford met the evil forces of Prius and Volt in the Valley of the EPA…

Oh, let everything that has breath praise the Ford…

Former Whittier Christian stud and Bosie State freshman Jeff Worthy has a 65 power rating in EA Sports College Football 12… Now if I only knew what that meant…

Serious Question: Can you learn anything by playing those EA games? If so I’m down…

Smoke & Mirrors Alert: Look at Rosemead’s schedule…The Panthers could, with a few breaks, possibly be 4-1 going into league play…and could finish 8-2…And looking at previous Mead teams this century they are very average…at best…

After that its all about playoff draws…

In the “I should have learned to play the guitar” Department: Andrew Elfers looks amazing…And he should do amazing things in Maranatha’s West Coast Offense. Darien McGee, is primed for a big year…Could they have enough to pick apart M-Town? Or do they get locked down?

It’s football season and there is a surprising lack of footballs for the area football teams…

Note to Principals: When football dies, all your sports die with it… As my friend Quint (Captain of the Orca) says: “You’ve gotta make up your minds. If you want to stay alive, then ante up. If you want to play it cheap, be on welfare the whole winter.”

Oh and if you are going to fingerprint and keep the perves away—good work—then finish the job and keep the ACLU away from your athletic programs as well… They are designed to kill and extract money…that’s all.

For those that were asking Temple City will play its homecoming game on October 14th against South Pasadena…and for those who may be a little confused that game will be at North Field…

Last Add Maranatha: Ssshhh, sshhh…Omar Younger…

After two years I got to see and meet Keith Boldin…Now I understand the buzz from folks about this Nogales stud…

Speaking of which…has anyone seen Duarte this summer?

The Dude abides…
