I finally finished the “Mitchell Report”. Book report forthcoming.
After last night’s three homer game by Andruw Jones, I decided to put a call into the LAPD. I told them there was a theft at Dodger Stadium that occurred the last couple of years.
No word on if they will be putting out a APB on Jones. I guess he really didn’t want to play for the Dodgers. I blame the Dodgers for the fact the Angels are now a game back. If they would have allowed Jones to toil in the minors, as previously intended, they may have won that game last night.
And if my grandmother was actually my grandfather….well you get the point.
Frankly, it is just another reason to have a supposed vendetta against the Boys from Chavez Ravine.
Speaking of them Bums. Great documentary on HBO is playing every so often called the “Brooklyn Dodgers: The Ghosts of Flatbush”.
I don’t want to spoil the ending. But you can blame the mayor of New York at the time for trying his macho man power play on the O’Malley’s. If O’Malley would have agreed to what the Mayor wanted we would be cheering the Los Angeles Angels.
Actually, the credit goes to Kenneth Hahn and the city council 50 years ago who wooed the Dodgers away with visions of granduer. Kind of like Georgia getting wooed by St Louis.
I wrote recently in Andy’s Rants that Steve McNair was a warrior. Apparently he was a “playa” too.
Don’t women know that “once a cheater, always a cheater.”
It really is ashame that the lasting legacy for McNair is that he was basically cheated on three different women. How unhappy do you have to be in your own marriage to have one or two mistresses?
So for you fans who are wondering when I go on vacation it will be next Thursday for a whole week! So start your countdown clocks.
Of course, don’t worry. When I get back, it will be four full days of reports from Indianapolis, In.
I guess my new editor MannsJeff didn’t see any typo’s or problems yesterday. Whew!
