Mayfair closing in on Suburban League title.

 

 

West Covina just looks too good to be beat currently. Mayfair would like nothing more than win the Suburban League crown against La Mirada. Arcadia can get a share of the Pacific League title by winning the remainder of its games. Santa Fe’s preseason schedule paid dividends during Del Rio League play.

  1. West Covina (7-1) – All opponents know the run is coming and still can’t stop it.
  2. Mayfair (6-2) – La Mirada stands in the Monsoons way of a Suburban League title.
  3. Arcadia (5-2) – Jake Medel continues to impress.
  4. Santa Fe (4-4) – Del Rio League crown theirs to lose.
  5. Diamond Ranch (4-4) – Panthers need to worry about looking ahead this week.
  6. La Mirada (4-4) – An extra week to prepare for Mayfair.
  7. Pasadena (5-3) – Bulldogs will need to step up on defense.
  8. Burroughs (4-4) – No Zander Anding means offensive trouble.
  9. La Serna (6-2) – Must regroup after being humbled.
  10. Bonita (4-4) – Rushing game making Bearcats dangerous.
  11. Bellflower (6-3) – Still haven’t mastered Mayfair.
  12. Muir (5-3) – All of a sudden Mustangs are the team no one wants to face.
  13. Diamond Bar (4-4) – Brahmas back in playoff hunt.
  14. Crescenta Valley (5-3) – Getting closer to punching ticket.
  15. California (6-3) – On two game losing streak.
  16. Los Altos (6-3) – Conquerors have put up help wanted posters at Bonita and Diamond Ranch.
  17. El Rancho (4-4) – Get crucial win to stay alive in Del Rio.
  18. Norwalk (2-6) – Should clinch playoff spot with win over Cerritos.
  19. Burbank (3-5) – Although playoff hopes are crushed, season could be saved with win over Burroughs.
  20. Walnut (2-7) – Needed win over Bonita to extend season.
