Can Clementson help Chargers to Sierra League title?

Heading into the Spring Vacation break and most teams are getting ready for the final three weeks of the season and jockeying for playoff position.

Local area teams will be in the Northview tournament this week and the Sierra League continues play prior to its break after the Spring break.

  1. Burroughs (10-1) – Get by Crescenta Valley for jump on Pacific League title.
  2. St. Lucy’s (13-3) – Sneak past South Hills to begin tough Sierra League schedule.
  3. Bishop Amat (12-3) – Finally get crowned Charger tourney champs.
  4. Village Christian (9-3) – Katie Lucas powers Crusaders to fast start.
  5. La Canada (7-1-1) – 14-inning marathon tie has Mathews pulling hair out.
  6. La Mirada (8-4) – Annie Dipillo and Lisa Perez each with two homers.
  7. Los Altos (9-4) – Berlyne Delamora helps the offense with two triples.
  8. Mayfair (11-3) – Jessica Torrez leads team with 22 hits.
  9. Montebello (11-3) – April Marquez is tough to pitch against.
  10. San Marino (11-4-1) – Floyd leads team in hitting and pitching.
  11. Burbank (9-1) – Media Center battle might be for the league title.
  12. Crescenta Valley (6-3) – Drop both games to Burbank teams.
  13. Duarte (12-3) – Can’t get that signature win.
  14. Whittier Christian (8-6) – Tough schedule will have Heralds primed for playoffs.
  15. Schurr (8-5) – Getting healthy on Almont pitching.
  16. Charter Oak (9-4) – Brooke Clementson has six wins for Chargers.
  17. San Dimas (9-5) – Saints battling Northview for Valle Vista lead.
  18. El Rancho (8-3) – Barcenas Alex leads the team in RBI’s.
  19. South El Monte (7-3) – Eagles crack the top 20.
  20. Keppel (10-2) – Aztecs drop fast after Schurr loss.
