St. Francis Officially Names Milam

(La Canada) – Aaron Milam has been officially named the head coach of the St. Francis baseball program, the school announced today. Milam has been a longtime assistant at St. Francis first serving under Alemany assistant and AD Mike Solar.

Milam, who helped guide the Golden Knights to the CIF D-3 Final in 2006, assumed the interim HC position at St. Francis during this past season when Brian Esquival was dismissed.

Milam also manages the high caliber Arroyo Seco Saints club team, which enjoys tremendous success annually at a near 30 win per year clip. The Saints were regional semifinalists in PONY Palomino West and reached the West Zone finals with a shot at the World Series last year on the heels of a regional final and West Zone quarterfinal appearance the season before.

His current Saints team features many of the area’s talented stars including Oklahoma-bound pitcher Corey Copping (Temple City) along with brother Calvin, La Salle catcher David Sanchez, SF’s Tei Vanderford / Jeff Garavaglia, and Crescenta Valley stalwarts Elliot Surrey, Troy Mulcahey, Troy Prasertsit.
