Southeast Division Top 10 (9/17/12)

Burbank HC Hector Valencia should be excited. The Bulldogs are knocking on the door to get into the Southeast Top 10, they could be the team to beat in the Pacific, and are the best team in the City of Burbank.

Post Week Three top 10…

1.) La Mirada Matadores (3-1): If any team has the depth to overcome the loss of its feature back, it’s this team.

2.) Paramount Pirates (2-1): The Pirates are legit folks.

3.) La Serna Lancers (4-0): Beltran takes a break. Goes from D-I school last week to D-II Norco this week.

4.) Norwalk Lancers (4-0): Can Ceniceros and company take advantage of Suburban title shot with La Mirada this week?

5.) West Covina Bulldogs (*2-2): They’ll be fine, but right now they are young and banged up.

6.) California Condors (3-0): Horsed around a little too much against Fullerton. Will need to focus at Schurr…yeah, that’s right. The Spartans can play a little defense.

7.) Downey Vikings (2-2): Can they beat Paramount?

8.) Los Altos Conquerors (3-1): Not cool, should have beat Chino. Shouldn’t have been shutout. A loss to Diamond Bar could cost them spot in top 10.

9.) Diamond Ranch Panthers (3-1): It’s a new name every week. Not fancy, but good.

10.) El Rancho Dons (3-1): Gave up way too many points against Montebello, gonna have to put a better fight on defense if they want to stay in company of the elite.

Knocking on the Door: Bellflower Buccaneers (2-2), Burbank Bulldogs (1-2), Rowland Raiders (3-1), Whittier Cardinals (2-1), Gahr Gladiators (3-1).

(*West Covina officially is 1-3 because it forfeited Zero Week win over Covina. For the sake of the Top 10, we recognize the win on the field.)
