Southeast Division Top 10 (10/23/2012)

His Glendale team is not near the Top 10, it will miss the playoffs, and next year he’ll be going to BYU, but Mike Davis made a memory with his 60-yard touchdown pass to teammate Martin Marin to lift the Nitros to a 20-13 win over CV on Friday night.

Post Week Eight Top 10

1.) La Mirada Matadores (7-1): Have not played since October 12, won’t play again until November 2nd…This is what happens when football programs (Cerritos) are allowed to default in the middle of the season, instead of being shutdown before.

2.) La Serna Lancers (7-1): Playing the Lancers is like being sentenced to four quarters of hard labor in a federal pound me on the back prison.

3.) Paramount Pirates (7-1)): The heavy lifting is done, the point now is not to stumble before the second week of November.

4.) Bonita Bearcats (5-3): Reggie Turner making a run at divisional honors, definitely deserves his own candy bar. “Reggie! Reggie! Reggie!”

5.) Norwalk Lancers (6-2): Two long, miserable weeks come to an end this Friday night.

6.) Downey Vikings (5-3): Can they last long enough in the post-season to get a second shot at Paramount.

7.) Muir Mustangs (5-3): Lots of options, lots of angles, Mustangs should handle Arcadia.

8.) California Condors (7-1): Well it wasn’t a slow start, but a second half meltdown that did the Birds in.

9.) Rowland Raiders (7-2): We’d like to know what the odds were of the Raiders being in this position back in August. Craig Snyder should not be getting consideration for Coach of the Year…He is the Coach of the Year.

10.) West Covina Bulldogs (4-4*): All wrongs can be righted…over the course of the next two weeks.

(*West Covina officially is 3-5 because it forfeited Zero Week win over Covina. For the sake of the Top 10, we recognize the win on the field.)
