Mid-Valley Division Top 10 – Playoff Edition

Antoyne Hutcherson and Paraclete are number one

We’ve compiled our Top 10 based on how we think the playoff teams should be ranked. We added the six teams in “others” to round out the field of 16. There was some movement this week as Paraclete knocked off Sierra Canyon to take the number one spot and South El Monte beat El Monte to move up. Montebello is in the playoffs but fell out of the Top 10 with a loss to Schurr.

1. Paraclete (9-1) – The Spirits make a statement in win over Sierra Canyon.

2. Sierra Canyon (9-1) – Bracket leads to showdown with Monrovia.

3. Monrovia (8-2) – This is the Wildcats’ time of year.

4. San Dimas (9-1) – Saints take care of Northview; Windward next.

5. San Marino (9-1) – No place like home for Titans against Schurr.

6. Northview (7-3) – Solid season; Vikes deserved better draw than Sierra Canyon.

7. South El Monte (6-4) – Great win over El Monte and nice draw with Covina.

8. El Monte (8-2) – Tough loss to SEM but Lions at home vs. Montebello in first round.

9. Bell Gardens (8-2) – Wrapped up undefeated Almont run, welcome Arroyo.

10. Covina (6-4) * – To be in the playoffs is a huge credit to Joe Brown and staff.

The Others: 11. Arroyo (6-4), 12. Windward (5-3), 13. Viewpoint (5-5), 14. Schurr (4-6), 15. Montebello (6-4), 16. Temple City (5-5)

*Covina is 7-3 with forfeit win over West Covina.
