Randy Horton steps down at Pasadena

(Pasadena) Randy Horton has resigned as head football coach at Pasadena High School it was confirmed today. The Bulldogs finished 1-9 this year and tied for last in the Pacific League at 1-6. Horton spent three years at the helm and had an overall record of 11-21.

In 2011 Horton guided Pasadena to a 4-3 record and a third place tie in the Pacific. The Bulldogs won a first round playoff game over Cal before falling to West Covina. They finished 6-6 overall. Quarterback Brandon Cox was a huge part of Pasadena’s resurgence but he was injured most of this year and the Bulldogs fortunes turned.

In Horton’s first year in 2010 PHS finished fifth in the Pacific at 3-4, and 4-6 overall.

Pasadena’s search for a new coach will begin immediately.
