(South El Monte] Quarterback Peter VanDerEb led Northview with his accurate passing to a 49-14 win Friday night at “The Swamp”.
*** Vikings were up 28-0 at the end of one quarter of play.
***Eagles first score came in the second when quarterback Mario Burciaga threw up a prayer that was caught by Moises Gutierrez from 32-yards out.
***Burciaga finished the night 2 of 12 for 37-yards and an interception, he went 0 of 7 in the second half.
***VanDerEb went 13 of 18 for 180 yards a touchdown and a 45-yard burst to paydirt on the ground.
***Northview was up 35-7 at the half.
***Eagles running back Marcos Lopez had 7-carries for 8-yards and was knocked out the game before halftime.
***Vikings Bryan Salinas had a touchdown on the ground and a pick-six on defense.
***Northview’s Daniel Valencia led the team with 85-yards receiving, a touchdown rushing and an interception.
***Vikings offense 371-total yards, Eagles offense 173-total yards.
***South offensive lineman Richard Lopez a lone bright spot.
***Northview’s defense had two sacks and two picks.
***Eagles travel to Maranatha next week.
***Vikings try to stay undefeated and go to Covina District field to face San Dimas.
