3.) On this date in 2004 Jesse Ramirez rushed for three touchdowns to lead Schurr to a 34-12 victory over Whittier in the first round of the CIF playoffs. Same night La Mirada defeated Bonita 28-27 in overtime. The Matadores got three touchdown passes from quarterback Trevor Blood. The Bearcats countered with quarterback Mike Williams’s three touchdown tosses.
