Can Santa Fe QB Christian Lara lead his team past Burbank and into the semis?

Of the three divisions the MVS covers, this is the only one with any intrigue. None of the contests Friday night are givens. A very exciting time.

.) Norwalk Lancers (11-0): The secret weapon? Ryan McDowell.

.) La Serna Lancers (9-2): The defense has recorded 49 sacks, Luis Camacho has 14 of them.

.) Muir Mustangs (10-1): Note to the Southeast: If you can’t contain Dejon Williams, then you cannot beat the Mustangs.

.) Los Altos Conquerors (9-2): The last time LA was in this position, was November of 2006…They beat Foothill, 37-21.

.) Diamond Bar Brahmas (7-4): Fred Roggin wasn’t aware, does everyone else know that Tyler Brown is the son of former BP/LA Ram WR Ron Brown?

.) Burbank Bulldogs (9-2): 77 tackles, four sacks, three pics, and safety this season for Bank LB Martin Caro.

.) Santa Fe Chiefs (7-4): In two seasons under HC Dave Pierson the Chiefs have three playoff victories. The last two (La Mirada/Diamond Ranch) have had a combined record of 18-4. Between 2007-2011 Santa Fe won exactly one playoff game.

.) Dominguez Dons (8-3): The Dons have not been past the second round since 2009.
